The time spent prepping, kneading and decorating bake sale treats can be quality family time that helps instill a spirit of service in children. To celebrate families in action, GLAD conducted the Recipe for Giving Contest, where entrants shared "recipes" – that is, tip or advice – on how their family gives back through food-related activities.
