How to Store Strawberries
Don’t wash or soak strawberries in water before storing. The best way to keep strawberries fresh is by giving them a rinse right before eating to avoid moldy strawberries.
Here's how to store strawberries: place them in a single layer in a shallow bowl, rimmed plate or a large GladWare® food protection container that has been lined with a paper towel.
Strawberries should be refrigerated to keep them fresh. Avoid the refrigerator’s crisper section - the increased humidity speeds up the growth of mold on strawberries. If stored properly, uncut strawberries should last from 5-7 days in the refrigerator, while cut strawberries will last for 1-3 days.
