How to Store Rutabagas
Seal unwashed rutabagas in a Glad® Food Storage Zipper Bag, squeezing out as much air as possible.
Or, seal rutabagas in a GladWare® food protection container.
Place in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
Keeps up to 9 months
How to Freeze Rutabagas
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cut rutabagas into large dice.
Blanch rutabaga for 3 minutes then plunge into ice water for 3 minutes.
Place cooled rutabaga in Freezer Zipper bags or FreezerWare™ containers.
Seal, removing as much air as possible (from bags). Place in the deepest part of the freezer.
