How to Store Persimmons

Wait
Persimmons should be kept at room temperature until ripe.

Place
Once very ripe, place in a Glad® Food Storage Zipper Bag but do not close.

Place
Or, place ripe persimmons in a bowl in the fridge that has been loosely covered with Glad® ClingWrap.

Refrigerate
Keep in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
Keeps for 10–12 months
How to Freeze Persimmons

Purée
Purée washed & peeled persimmons. For each quart of purée add 1/8 tsp ascorbic acid (Fruit Fresh) or 1 tbsp lemon juice.

Pack
Pack purée into Freezer Zipper bags or FreezerWare™, sized to fit.

Freeze
Seal, removing as much air as possible (from bags). Place in the deepest part of the freezer.
