How to Store Fish

Prep
Thoroughly remove any excess moisture from the fish with paper towels.

Separate
Line the bottom of a large GladWare® food protection container with paper towels. Place fish fillets in a single layer or stack them between rows of paper towels.

Refrigerate
Cover with another paper towel, seal and refrigerate. Do not wrap fish in plastic ClingWrap before storing.

Place
If possible, place food protection container on a bed of crushed ice inside a larger container.
Keeps up to 6 months (salmon/tuna); best quality up to 3 months
How to Freeze Fish

Place
Place fish fillets into Freezer Zipper bags or FreezerWare™ containers. Submerge fish with water.

Leave
Leave a 1/2-inch gap at the top for expansion. It's best to freeze fish in a block of ice.

Seal
Seal and place in the deepest part of the freezer.
