How to Store Cucumbers
Wrap whole cucumbers in paper towels and place into a Glad® Food Storage Zipper Bag.
With bottom-mount freezers, seal and place onto an upper refrigerator shelf. Reverse for top-mount freezers.
Cut only what you need to use.
Exposed cucumber ends should be tightly sealed with Glad® ClingWrap and returned to the paper towel in the sealed Glad® Zipper 2-in-1 Gallon bag.
How to Freeze Cucumbers
Prepare cucumbers for brine: wash, dry and slice uniformly. Add a sliced onion if desired. Salt and let sit for 2 hours. Rinse.
Create brine: mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1½ cups sugar. Combine with cucumbers in FreezerWare™ container.
Leave headspace in container, seal and freeze.
Or, purée cucumbers and freeze in ice cube trays. Pop frozen cubes into Zipper Bags or FreezerWare™.
