How to Store Cucumbers

  • Wrap Wrap

    Wrap whole cucumbers in paper towels and place into a Glad® Food Storage Zipper Bag.

  • Refrigerate Refrigerate

    With bottom-mount freezers, seal and place onto an upper refrigerator shelf. Reverse for top-mount freezers.

  • Cut Cut

    Cut only what you need to use.

  • Seal Seal

    Exposed cucumber ends should be tightly sealed with Glad® ClingWrap and returned to the paper towel in the sealed Glad® Zipper 2-in-1 Gallon bag.

Keeps for 8–12 months

How to Freeze  Cucumbers

  • Prepare Prepare

    Prepare cucumbers for brine: wash, dry and slice uniformly. Add a sliced onion if desired. Salt and let sit for 2 hours. Rinse.

  • Mix Mix

    Create brine: mix 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1½ cups sugar. Combine with cucumbers in FreezerWare™ container.

  • Freeze Freeze

    Leave headspace in container, seal and freeze.

  • Purée Purée

    Or, purée cucumbers and freeze in ice cube trays. Pop frozen cubes into Zipper Bags or FreezerWare™.
