How to Store Beets

Cut
Cut the greens off the tops of fresh beets, leaving 2 inches of stem.

Seal
Seal unwashed beets in a Glad® Zipper 2-in-1 Gallon Bag.

Squeeze
Squeeze as much air as possible out of the bag.

Refrigerate
Place in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator.
Keeps for 10–12 months in Freezer Zipper Bags; 5–6 months in FreezerWare™
How to Freeze Beets

Place
Place cooked beets in a Glad® Freezer Zipper bag or FreezerWare™ storage container.

Seal
Seal, removing as much air as possible if using bags.

Freeze
Place in deepest part of the freezer.
